Two thousand metres above sea level, superheroes don’t have to fly to reach their natural, thin-aired habitat. That might be a reason why so many do-gooders roam the streets of mexico city. Another is that they are so badly needed. Among a gang of caped crusaders, Winq found super gay. Latin america’s bravest gay man – and not just for wearing pink tights. It is Sunday in Mexico City, and entrance to the Chapultepec Palace - a castle-like building situated atop a hill in the Chapultepec Park - is free. It is the start of the Easter holiday and the park is crowded. A sense of elation fills the air as children run along the railings, beyond which - under a thick layer of smog - the second-largest metropolis in the world stretches out towards the horizon...
